I read an article about the project in the IHK Wirtschaft. The motivation behind the project immediately appealed to me, as it provides much-needed relief for immigrants or people with many years of professional experience.
The ValiKom Transfer project is now firmly anchored in the IHK Braunschweig's training and further education program. This is primarily thanks to the successful collaboration with committed vocational experts such as Deniz Demirci.
Demirci has been working as an assessor in the office management profession for almost a year. By combining his experience as a managing director in the chamber district, as an examiner at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Crafts, he is able to present the content, benefits and objectives of the project from different perspectives.
In this interview, Mr. Demirci gives you an insight into the BMBF-funded project, in which people who lack a vocational qualification in their chosen field can demonstrate their professional skills and receive an IHK certificate in return.

I read an article about the project in the IHK Wirtschaft. The motivation behind the project immediately appealed to me, as it provides much-needed relief for immigrants or people with many years of professional experience.
For me, it is important that people without a formal vocational qualification can gain prospects in working life. They lack recognized proof of their knowledge and skills. I would like to make an effective contribution to improving the associated shortage of skilled workers in order to successfully counter this situation. As an entrepreneur, I have a social responsibility. I saw this as an opportunity to contribute to a better link between qualifications and corresponding certificates.
"The participants are grateful and highly motivated because they are listened to and see an opportunity for their career prospects here." Deniz Demirci
I prepare for the first introductory interview with job-related documents from the participants, such as their CV and a self-assessment form. I particularly look forward to this interview because I can get to know the participants before the assessment and get a first impression of their professional background and work experience. Fates are also included.
I then create a practical task that the participants can use to demonstrate their skills. This is done, for example, by means of a work sample or presentation and a technical discussion at my company or at the IHK. The video conference also worked really well. We then talk about the results, document the process and the IHK issues the certificate afterwards.
The good interaction is characterized by various factors: lively exchange, flexible and fast scheduling, digital collaboration. Our aim is to provide participants with an uncomplicated and individually tailored process. It is also important that everyone involved pulls together and enjoys the process. We have achieved this!
The participants are grateful and highly motivated because they are listened to and see an opportunity for their career prospects here. This experience motivates me to continue promoting and supporting the project.
Participants receive future prospects: a recognized IHK certificate, which makes it easier to apply for jobs and prove their skills. We also provide tips, ideas and suggestions for personal training and development.
Knowledge and skills play a decisive role in a vacancy. For me as an entrepreneur, it is much easier to find new employees if I know what qualifications the applicants have.
In today's world, employees want an employer that is characterized by social responsibility. Participation in the project increases employee motivation and satisfaction and strengthens employee loyalty. This free offer provides companies with a good opportunity to stand out as an attractive employer, even in challenging times like these. It is therefore worth supporting the project.
Making job-related skills visible for the world of work.
