Charge air hoses from NovaNox® are usually made of high-quality tested VMQ (silicone rubber) or EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber). They are particularly characterized by their permanent temperature resistance from -50°C to +180°C (briefly up to +220°C). For much higher temperature requirements, NovaNox® high-performance silicone is used. This material can also withstand permanent temperature peaks of +250°C. They are also resistant to chemicals, alkalis and acids. High resistance to aging and weathering round off the requirement profile of a robust charge air hose. Another quality feature of NovaNox® charge air hoses is their elasticity. This means that constant engine vibrations, braking and pulling movements can be compensated for effortlessly. We manufacture robust charge air hoses using mandrel molds. High-quality silicone and fabric inserts are applied overlapping via the tool and vulcanized. Vulcanization permanently cross-links all materials. This results in a dimensionally stable and, above all, tight charge air hose unit. Nothing penetrates the charge air hose from the outside, nor can anything escape from the charge air hose. This means that aggressive media can be transported safely from A to B, even under permanent pressure and temperature requirements.
