Why use insulation?

Thermal insulation for pipes and/or sound absorbers prevent hot exhaust gases from escaping into the surroundings. For one, this takes care of fire safety. Secondly,

this allows the requisite high temperatures to be reached for the regeneration for particulate filters as part of exhaust post-processing — an important criterion for emissions reductions and observing strict exhaust standards. Insulation types and their advantages

Textile insulation

Maintenance-friendly textile insulation can be mounted in seconds with the use of fasteners. Disassembly can be done just as quickly during maintenance. Additional advantages are their high vibration resistance and excellent ability to absorb noise. In order to increase their temperature resistance and

durability, metal, ceramic or glass fibers may be woven into the material. Thanks to their custom-fit design, textile insulation can be used for geometrically complex objects — even in combination with other types of insulation.

Solid insulation

Cost-effective solid insulation is always used when the construction space is generous and the thickness of the insulation is of secondary importance.

Metallic insulation

Shielding is the material of choice in situations where construction space is tight: Because it perfectly conforms to the contours of the components to be insulated, they are especially space-saving. An added advantage is their high vibration resistance. Blankets are equally vibration-resistant, but their best quality is that they are extremely lightweight.

Integral insulation
